TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Despite Florida State women's basketball's two-point win over Virginia Tech on Sunday, the Seminoles received bad news when they learned Amaya Brown will miss the remainder of her season due to a knee injury.

Brown fell to the floor in the final two minutes of Sunday's win.

The true freshman guard had played her way into Sue Semrau's lineup, thanks in large part to her strong perimeter defense, having started two of the last three games.

Through 17 games, the New Mexico native was shooting 42.6 percent from the field and averaged 3.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
