TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- When Florida State takes the field against Wake Forest on Saturday, it'll almost be like looking in a mirror.
The Seminoles and Demon Deacons each own a 3-3 record. Both sides are also coming off bye weeks. Each team also lost their most recently played game.
And, so far this season, neither team has impressed or, honestly, lived up to its potential.
With Saturday being homecoming, it'd certainly be a good time for a coming out party for Florida State.
But, Wake isn't your typical homecoming doormat; they're battle tested. Two of their three losses have come to top five competition in Clemson and Notre Dame.
FSU head coach Willie Taggart says he knows this game can't be taken likely.
"They're well coached, our guys understand that," Taggart said. "They played them last year and know what to expect. It's going to be a good football team coming in here. They had a bye week, just like us, and are looking for a win just like us, so our guys understand that and we've got to prepare and make sure we go out and play our very best to have a very good homecoming."
