TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The road to the College Cup continues for the Florida State women's soccer team as the Seminoles host the second and third rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
While home field advantage is always important, it might prove to be even more so this weekend with three Top 25 teams coming to town in USC, LSU and the Noles' Friday-night opponent, South Florida.
The Bulls enter the second round leading the nation in scoring offense, scoring close to three goals per game.
They're a squad Mark Krikorian knows won't be an easy out.
"I think that they're a balanced team. They're very competitive," the Seminoles' head coach said. "We actually played them in the spring here last year and it was a very good game. We know they're going to bring their A-game and they're going to come in here looking to compete at the highest level."
While the Bulls tout the nation's most lethal scoring attack, the Noles defense will be up to the challenge. FSU ranks eighth in the country in goals against average, having allowed just 11 goals in 22 games.
The Noles and Bulls kickoff at 5 p.m. on Friday from the FSU Soccer Complex. USC and LSU kick the day off at 2 p.m.
The winners of each match will meet in the third round of the tournament on Sunday at 1 p.m.
