GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Former Wakulla War Eagle Feleipe Franks was named the Florida Gators starting quarterback on Monday, and will try to turn around a team he captained last year to a 4-7 record.

Helping him will be first-year head coach Dan Mullen, who previously served as a Gator assistant during the Tebow era.

Mullen and the Gators will host Charleston Southern this Saturday. Mullen said on Monday that he won't have too many butterflies before the game, saying he's been here before and he's going to let everything try to fall into place.

"In week one, you know the first game's here. I do think I'll be a little bit more relaxed in terms of everything going on, not paranoid that I know every detail, I know our coaches know it and I know our players will learn the routine," Mullen said in a media availability on Monday.
