TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The season couldn't have started better for Florida State men's basketball, with a dominant victory over Florida and a win over Tulane this past weekend. But, the Seminoles' early momentum has been put on hold.
FSU is currently in the midst of an eight-day break and, while they have time off to get their legs back underneath them ahead of Monday's game against Canisius, the Noles say they sat around long enough in the offseason and they're ready to play now.
"Yeah, we don't really like that, we like to play games like twice a week or so," said Noles guard Terance Mann. "Having that long of a break kind of gets you out of focus a little, so you just kinda have to regroup and try to get back into focus."
After taking on Canisuis at the Donald L. Tucker Center on Monday, FSU will head to Lake Buena Vista for the Advocare Invitational where they'll play three games in four days, starting with a 9:30 p.m. matchup on Thursday against UAB.
