TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- At times this season, we've already seen how good the Florida State basketball team can be. Coming off of a trip to the Elite Eight, the junkyard defense is clearly back and the Seminoles have scorers in the likes of Trent Forrest and PJ Savoy to make up for the loss of Brian Angola.
But, what if this already very good team can be even better?
Well, they can be. The Noles have been without redshirt senior Phil Cofer since the season began. Cofer, who led FSU in scoring last year, is still dealing with a foot injury.
On Tuesday, Leonard Hamilton gave no timetable for Cofer's return, but he was seen without his walking boot over the weekend as the Noles competed in Orlando.
"I feel like that's the scary thing about it is we're playing with some of the top teams and we really don't have our best player yet," said Forrest. "I feel like once he comes back into the mold and gets his wind back under him, we're gonna be pretty good."
