Former Florida State guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes has signed a Summer League contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
XRM, who went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft, played in five games last season for the Memphis Grizzlies and averaged 5.8 points and 3.6 assists.
When he wasn't in the NBA, the Canadian native played in 43 games for the Westchester Knicks and averaged 16.8 points and 7.1 assists to accompany 6.5 rebounds. XRM led the Knicks in points and assists players who played in at least 30 games and finished third on the squad in total rebounds.
Rathan-Mayes played in 100 games for FSU over three years and averaged 12.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists. He led the team in assists in his final season, averaging 4.8 a night.

The Lakers will participate in the California Classic league as well as the Las Vegas Summer League.
Play in the California Classic opens on July 2 against the Sacramento Kings, followed by games on July 3 against the Miami Heat and on July 5 against Golden State.
The Las Vegas Summer League opens for the Lakers on July 7 against Philadelphia, followed by a July 8 matchup with Chicago before a July 10 meeting with New York, who signed XRM for last year's Summer League.
