Wilcox has served as AD for the Seminoles since the 2013 season when Florida State football won the final BCS National Championship.
FSU athletics have had several highlights since then including winning the 2014 Women’s College Cup, Elite Eight appearances for both men’s and women’s basketball and, most recently, winning the Women’s College World Series this past summer.
Wilcox was promoted to Vice President by President John Thrasher to Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics in July of 2016 and was one of the key players in FSU football’s hiring of Willie Taggart after Jimbo Fisher’s December 2017 departure.
Florida State University has not as of yet revealed the time of Wilcox’s departure or the plan of succession in finding a new AD.
