TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The celebration continued for the Florida State women's soccer team on Wednesday as the Seminoles were honored by city leaders for their second title in school history.
FSU also received a proclamation from newly-elected Mayor John Dailey and will receive a key to the city. That, though, is still in the process of being made.
After a whirlwind of celebrations, the team said at the end of the day, the championship is for everyone in Tallahassee.
"Honestly, it's surreal just to bring it back to the community," said senior defender/midfielder Olivia Bergau. "There's no other group that I would have wanted to do this with than to end my senior year as national champs. It's what anybody hopes and dreams."
