TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The early national signing period for high school recruits to sign with their college squads begins today and runs through Friday night, and several big names have FSU on their radar.
The Seminoles are expected by many recruiting services to have a top-tiered signing class, and it'll be the first signing class under new head coach Willie Taggart.
The early period ends on Friday at 11:59 p.m.
The biggest snag of the class so far is that of five-star safety Jaiden Woodbey, who flipped his commitment from Ohio State to the Noles.
Chiles' own Amari Gainer has signed with the Seminoles, becoming the first member of the 2018 class to go to FSU from the Sunshine State and is the third addition to Willie Taggart's first class overall.
The second member of the Seminoles early signing class is in, and it's the second from the metro-Atlanta area in offensive lineman Christian Armstrong.
The Seminoles have landed their first commit of the early signing period, with defensive lineman Robert Cooper signing from South Gwinnett in the metro-Atlanta area.
