TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State's early signing period was a glimpse of things to come for the program; new talent, excitement and head coach Willie Taggart finally getting "his guys."
But, on offense, the question still remains: Who will be directing all that talent?
Reports seem to indicate it'll be Houston's offensive coordinator, Kendall Briles, but nothing has been made official yet.
With the loss of Walt Bell, who took the head coaching position at UMass earlier this month, it's left FSU in a rut. Most notably, his absence was a contributing factor in quarterback Sam Howell flipping his commitment and singing with North Carolina on Wednesday.
Many imagine an official hire will be made soon, and Taggart says there's pressure to make the right one.
"It's important that we get the right fit and the right fit for our guys. I don think now, having a year here, I understand what that fit is for our guys, to understand our players more and understand our university a lot better," he said on Wednesday. "I really feel a lot better about finding a guy that's going to be the right fit for our players and what we need."
