TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State head coach Willie Taggart seemed pleased with his team's performance on Saturday in a 37-19 win over Northern Illinois.

In his weekly Monday press conference, Taggart seemed even more pleased about the injury status of offensive lineman Landon Dickerson.

The Seminole right tackle has been rehabbing an ankle sprain for the last three weeks and, according to Taggart, his recovery has gone well.

If the head coach's tone is any indication, Dickerson could be seeing the field sooner rather than later.

"Landon's looking good; he ran around yesterday, looked good and that was good to see," Taggart said. "We'll see how this week plays out for him. He's probably ahead of schedule, to be honest with you and I know he's eager to get back out there and help his teammates."

Taggart also provided encouraging news for defensive tackle Demarcus Christmas, who's expected to be back after missing Saturday's contest.

Unfortunately, for Dickerson's linemate Derrick Kelly, Taggart gave no timeline for his return.
