VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) – Valdosta State University took to Twitter Tuesday morning to announce the hiring of Gary Goff as its next head football coach.

FootballScoop.com first reported late last week that Goff was expected to be named to the position. Goff is a former VSU wide receiver.

He spent the past eight seasons at Division II program Tiffin in Ohio. The Tiffin Dragons went 9-2 under Goff last season.

The Blazers lost former head coach Kerwin Bell to South Florida after winning the 2018 DII title.
