“I am honored to be at the forefront of our battle to ensure that all children have a happy and healthy opportunity at life." said Mr. Pittman. “I come into the chairmanship during a difficult time, as my first order of business will be the hiring of a new Executive Director to lead the day to day operations of the organization. This is a very sensitive time for CHS because we have to continue to be strong for the children we serve and can't afford to loose any momentum.”

Created in 1902, Children’s Home Society of Florida is the oldest and largest Statewide private not for profit provider of services to children and families in Florida. CHS, which served more than 86,000 children and their families’ last year, has pledged to make an even bigger difference. Through strategic innovations, research based best practices and key partnership, CHS is working to determine which factors combine to cause generational cycle of child abuse-and more importantly, what stops it.

Pittman is also part of the show "Usual Suspects" which airs on WCTV on Sunday mornings.
