Students Get the Facts at FAMU Health Fair

FAMU's Homecoming continues with a health fair on campus Thursday.

Students were able to get vision screenings, pick up pamphlets about different health agencies and find out how to get more information about HIV and AIDS.

Organizers say it's important to know your status and get tested regularly.

"Individuals need to know their status at all times regarding HIV and STDs because you're able to transmit HIV onto other individuals. Basically you can't prevent something that you don't know," says Camye Edwards.

Homecoming activities continue Friday with convocation and the renaming ceremonies of several buildings on campus.
