Car Catches Fire in DCF Parking Garage - SLIDE SHOW

Local firefighters respond to an early morning car fire in the parking garage at the Department of Children and Families.

Firefighters on the scene tell Eyewitness News that the engine of the vehicle caught on fire. No one was inside the vehicle at the time. No one was hurt during the incident. The front of the car suffered the damage.

This morning at 8:03a.m., firefighters responded to the 1300 Block of Winewood Blvd to a vehicle fire in the parking deck for the Department of Children and Families Office Complex. A 1989, four-door Grand Marquis was parked on the second floor and was fully involved with fire when firefighters arrived. The fire appeared to start in the engine compartment and was confined to the one vehicle. The area above the vehicle suffered minor smoke damage, but no structure damage was reported.

No injuries were reported during the incident. The vehicle was a total loss.
