Governor Scott Meets with Scientists

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Governor Scott had some interesting visitors Tuesday afternoon. Four scientists from around the state came to talk to the Governor about climate changes.

Each scientist has a concentration in different weather-related areas, and most specifically focus on the weather in Florida. During the meeting, each scientist talked with Governor Scott about their findings.

"What want to talk about the evidence that we have that climate is changing," said Ben Kirtman, a professor from the University of Miami. "The evidence that we have that human activities are effecting climate change and what the projections are for near term future and the long-term future if we don't take action now."

A few topics covered included the increase in carbon dioxide and how this is less ice coverage.
