TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Junior League of Tallahassee will be hosting its annual 'Operation Prom Dress' event on Saturday, April 4th, 2015. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m at Tallahassee Community College's Student Union Ballroom, located at 444 Appleyard Drive in Tallahassee.
This one-day shopping event is designed for public high school students in the Big Bend area that may not be able to afford a prom dress to shop in a boutique-like atmosphere complete with dressing rooms for their full prom attire; including accessories and shoes.
Operation Prom Dress began in 2001 as an event for students of Gretchen Everhart, a local school for persons with developmental disabilities, and has grown into a regional project serving hundreds of local teens.
The Junior League of Tallahassee would like to thank the following partners for serving as "drop-off" locations for Operation Prom Dress: Chelsea Salon, Cole Couture, Douglas M. Croley Insurance Services, First Baptist Church of Tallahassee, Haute Headz Salon, Narcissus, Painting with a Twist, Proof Brewing Company (Tennessee St. Location), Spriggs Laid Back Luxe, Sweat Therapy Fitness (Midtown) and Sweat Therapy Fitness (Uptown).
Established in 1960, the Junior League of Tallahassee is a non-profit organization comprised of more than 500 women committed to improving the lives of children and families. For more information about the Junior League of Tallahassee, call (850) 224-9161 or visit JLTallahassee.org.
