The track and field team was using the track to practice on when the young man collapsed.

TPD also told us said they are currently investigating the cause of death. Wednesday Godby High told their students Barfield passed.
"I felt sad he was a real friend," explained one student mourning the loss of Barfield.

As Godby High School tries to make sense of the loss. We were told today guidance counselors and school psychologists spoke to students. Principal Shelly Bell released a statement saying "Details of the cause of death are not known at this time and we ask that you pray for the family."
