The FBI arrested the 73-year-old South Florida woman Monday evening as she attempted to board a flight to Vietnam. The indictment affirms charges State Attorney Jack Campbell announced earlier this week.

The booking comes exactly a week after her son, Charlie Adelson, was convicted of first-degree murder in his former brother-in-law Dan Markel’s 2014 killing in Tallahassee’s Betton Hills neighborhood.
Both the prosecution and defense have now rested their cases in the murder for hire trial of Charlie Adelson. Closing arguments and jury deliberations will begin Monday.

Prior to last week, the South Florida periodontist always claimed he had no connection to the 2014 homicide. But during opening statements, his defense changed course, saying he was was extorted to pay for the crime, threatened to pay or risk his family could be next.
The court has summoned hundreds of potential jurors to be interviewed. Many were surprised to see Adelson himself in the courtroom for proceedings starting Monday.
