On Saturday, Dec. 19, the manager at the Dollar General, who locked herself in the office, called 911 after the suspect had forced his way into the store, according to WCSO.
During a search in the area where the suspect was arrested, officers found suspected marijuana, scales, and a loaded semi-automatic pistol, according to the GBI.
According to the press release, deputies responded to the same house for multiple incidents since September, including stolen property, methamphetamine manufacturing, drug possession, drug overdoses and wanted persons.
Traveyon Wilcox, 35, was sentenced Thursday to 42 months in prison, which will be followed by three years of supervised release, for one count of assault on a federal employee.
The GBI said gang members made arrangements for the victim to “have sexual encounters with numerous men over the almost two-month period in exchange for money.”
Autumn Connell, 15, of Tifton, was taken to the hospital Wednesday after she was shot around 4 p.m. in the 1000 block of Lee Avenue, the press release states.
Investigators were able to get a search warrant following the arrest, and they later found “a large amount” of cocaine and methamphetamine inside the home, the press release says.
Mark Wilson Jr. was indicted by the a Putnam County Grand Jury on two counts of First Degree Murder, 1 count of Burglary With A Battery, and 1 count of Burglary While Armed.
