Maclay School Hires Former FSU Star As New Head Football Coach

Rick Shapley, President of Maclay Football Boosters, announced Saturday morning the Marauders had found their next football coach. Former FSU star receiver Kez McCorvey was selected from a pool of over 50 applicants for the job, and will be the second head football coach at Maclay School.

“After an intensive and thoughtful process with our selection committee, we
are very happy to have selected Kez McCorvey as our new head coach,” said Bill Jablon, Headmaster at Maclay School. “We had some outstanding candidates to choose from and it was a tough decision, but in the end we felt Kez was our best choice heading into the future.”

McCorvey is originally from Gautier, Mississippi and played high school football at Pascagoula. He was recruited by Bobby Bowden and attended Florida State University from 1990-1994, where he was a two-time All-ACC Selection.

Since 2001, McCorvey has been a senior Vice President and owner of Titus Sports Academy in both Tallahassee and Jacksonville, where he also served as director of sales. During this period, he also served as a volunteer receiver coach at Florida State, and held his own receiver academy in Jacksonville and other locations around Florida.
