Attorney Says Client Arrested in UConn Fight

Storrs, CT (AP) - A Hartford attorney says his client has
been arrested in connection with a fight that led to the fatal
stabbing of a University of Connecticut football player.
Attorney Deron Freeman says John William Lomax of Bloomfield was
arrested Tuesday morning. Freeman said he doesn't know the charge,
but says his client is not being charged with stabbing 20-year-old
Jasper Howard.
Freeman says he expects Lomax to be arraigned Wednesday.
Police have scheduled a 12:30 p.m. news conference Tuesday at
the university's police station to announce what they call
"significant developments" in the investigation.
Howard was fatally stabbed early Oct. 18 outside a
university-sanctioned dance. His funeral was Monday in Miami.
