Joe Taylor Returns to Hampton

For the Rattlers, their trip to Hampton to duel with the Pirates is not just another ordinary MEAC game, but a homecoming for former Hampton and current FAMU Head Coach Joe Taylor, who spent sixteen seasons wearing the blue and white.
FAMU Head Football Coach Joe Taylor says,
"A lot of fond memories, a lot of great experience so certainly that will come into play for a bit but it's bigger than that to be honest with you, It is a conference ball game, it still will allow us to continue to move forward with our goals so it's bigger then I, but certainly there's a little sentimental pride to the ball game but once it's kick off, it's all business."
While the meeting is not gathering the national attention like it was last year when ESPN's College Gameday visited FAMU's campus for the first time when the Rattlers hosted the Pirates, it still is a game that the Rattlers need to keep their playoff dreams alive.
FAMU Junior Quarterback Eddie Battle adds,
"Emotion brings excitement to the game and the respect and the love that we have for Coach Taylor is motivating that much more to go out there and get the "W". Yes it is business but at the same time we, us as a team, we know where he came from and he might not speak of it because he's a professional guy at all times."
Emotions will be high in Hampton, and what better way to end a homecoming weekend then returning to Tallahassee with another conference win.
