Lady Bulls Hit the Road for First Time This Season

The University of South Florida women’s basketball team hits the road for the first time this season when it travels to Winston-Salem, N.C.
to face Atlantic Coast Conference foe Wake Forest. Tip-off at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum is slated for 5 p.m.
The contest is the first game of a women’s and men’s doubleheader with the Demon Deacon men taking on High Point following the women’s
Wednesday’s contest against the Demon Deacons is the first of USF’s first four games to be played on the road.IIt is, however, the first
road game of four that the Bulls will play in their next five games away from the Sun Dome.
Following the Wake Forest game, USF will return home to face North Florida (Nov. 21) before heading on a three-game west coast road
trip. While out west - in California - the Bulls will face Montana (Nov. 27) in the first round of the Courtyard by Marriott L.A. Thanksgiving Classic, and then face either Saint Louis or the host Loyola
Marymount on the final day (Nov. 28). USF will then take on UC Irvine (Nov. 30) before returning home. The Bulls will look to extend their road winning streak to four games dating back to last season’s Women’s National Invitation Tournament title run when it defeated St. Bonaventure (80-66), Boston College (82-65) and Kansas (75-71) all on the road en route to the title.
USF is coming off an 88-72 win over Saint Peter’s on Monday night. Four players made their way to double figures led by Janae Stokes’ game-high 25 points and Jessica Lawson’s 24 points. Lawson and Stokes lead four players in double figures on the year averaging 19.0 points apiece. KaNeisha Saunders and Melissa Dalembert are averaging 17.0 and 10.0 points per game respectively. Lawson also paces the team on the glass grabbing 13.0 rebounds per game.
