USF Players Arrested for "Dine & Ditch"

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Two University of South Florida men's

basketball players have been charged with skipping out on a dinner

bill at the Tampa restaurant.

Police say 20-year-old Toarlyn Fitzpatrick and 19-year-old Mike

Burwell didn't pay a $29.91 bill at the Village Inn on Wednesday

night. Two plainclothes officers who happened to be eating at the

restaurant witnessed the men walk out and pulled them over as they

drove away.

Fitzpatrick and Burwell were arrested and charged with obtaining

food with intent to defraud. They were later released on $250 bail

each.

USF coach Stan Heath says he is looking into the arrests. If the

charges are true, Heath says the school will take appropriate

action.
