Man injured in Thomasville shooting dies at hospital

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- The Thomasville Police Department says a man who was in critical condition after a shooting last week has died from his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Akeilaus Hardy.

The incident happened around 5:50 p.m. on October 30 in the 700 block of Wright Street in Thomasville.

Police say one of the suspects, 25-year-old Brandon Davis, turned himself in. A second suspect is believed to be on the run in Florida.

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- The Thomasville Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating a shooting in the 700 block of Wright Street.

Officials say they received multiple calls around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday regarding a man being shot in the head. A man in his early 20's was later found by officers in the yard on the side of a house.

TPD says the man is in critical condition at a local hospital.

A GBI mobile crime lab and technicians arrived on the scene around 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday morning, Thomasville Police confirmed that one person had been taken into custody and they are looking for a second suspect, believed to be in Florida.
