Suspect in deadly Thomasville shooting turns himself in

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- The suspect in a Saturday morning shooting that left one person dead has turned himself in, the Thomasville Police Department confirms.

According to TPD, 20-year-old Quinton McKinney turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

McKinney is accused of firing shots around 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Grady Street. When police arrived at the home, they found two people shot. One was pronounced dead on scene while the other was transported to a local hospital.

McKinney is currently in the Thomas County Jail.

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- Thomasville Police are currently investigating a murder in the 500 block of Grady Street.

Police responded to a call around 5:30 a.m. Saturday and found two people shot. One was pronounced deceased, and the other was transported to a local hospital.

Officers say it appears there was a party at the Grady Street home and the shooting happened when an argument broke out.

At this time, there is no one in custody and police are still searching for the suspect. TPD is actively working the crime scene and interviewing witnesses.
