THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- Two people are in critical condition after a collision at the intersection of Lower Boston and New Hope Road in Thomasville on Friday.

Georgia State Patrol says around 12:45 p.m. on Friday, a truck being driven by 47-year-old Kevin Cauley was navigating a hill on Lower Boston Road while a car, being driven by 28-year-old Marsha Singleton, was traveling on New Hope Road.

Troopers say Singleton did not stop at the intersection and ran through it, crashing into the truck.

GSP says upon collision, Singleton and her passenger, Ronald Thorton, were ejected from the vehicle.

Officials say neither were restrained by seatbelts.

Troopers say Singleton suffered serious injuries and both her and Thorton were transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

GSP says Cauley was checked out for injuries and later released. No further update was given on his condition.

Officials say Singleton is facing charges for failing to yield at an intersection.
