VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- Title Town is buzzing as the Valdosta State Blazers are gearing up to head to the NCAA Division II National Championship.
Valdosta State's campus was quiet Monday with classes and finals both done for the semester, but the community is not quiet about its Blazer pride.
On Saturday, VSU beat Notre Dame College to earn a trip to the national championship game.
Ahead of the semi-finals, city officials asked the community to 'paint the town red and black' to support the school, and many businesses and organizations stepped up, putting up signs and VSU decorations.
With another big game this weekend, past, present and future Blazers are hoping for a victory.
"I think it's pretty crazy that the team's been undefeated for awhile, it makes me want to go and watch the game," said Sierra Priester.
"It makes we want to actually go and see what it's all about, see how the student section is and how they play," added Kelsie Moore.
The two girls were touring campus Monday.
The Blazers will be traveling to McKinney, Texas to take on Ferris State for the national title on Saturday.
