Valdosta murder suspect arrested in Florida

MELBOURNE Fla. (WCTV) -- A man facing murder charges for the shooting death of another man at a Valdosta apartment complex has been arrested in Florida.

According to the Valdosta Police Department, 23-year-old Ian Rashad Henry was arrested in Melbourne, Florida on Saturday.

Henry was wanted for the murder of 40-year-old Stephen Styles. Styles was found shot to death in the parking lot of the Blanton Commons apartments on November 12.

Henry is awaiting extradition back to Lowndes County, where he will face a felony murder charge.

“We greatly appreciate the work of the Melbourne Police Department in their persistent hard work to ensure that this dangerous individual was taken off of the streets” said VPD Interim Chief Leslie Manahan.

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- The Valdosta Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted for the murder of a man at the Blanton Commons apartments earlier this month.

VPD says an arrest warrant has been filed for 23-year-old Ian Rashad Henry on a felony murder charge. Henry is being sought for the homicide of 40-year-old Stephen Styles.

Styles was found shot to death in the parking lot of the apartment complex in the 1500 block of Lankford Drive on November 12.

At this time, police have not yet been able to locate Ian Rashad Henry. Authorities say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Henry's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
