2 cups self-rising flour
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream, (more or less if needed)
3 tablespoons of white sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 stick melted butter
3 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 cup raisins mixed together
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup heavy cream
DirectionsTurn dough onto floured surface, dust top with flour and gently fold dough over on itself 5 or 6 times. Press into a ½ -inch thick square.
Brush dough with melted butter.
Sprinkle cinnamon & raisin mixture on top.
Fold dough over itself.
Cut out biscuits with a 2-inch cutter, being sure to push straight down through the dough.
Place biscuits on baking sheet so that they just touch. Bake until biscuits are tall and light gold on top, 15 to 20 minutes.
Drizzle glaze over biscuits.
Note: You can omit the cinnamon & raisins, and use Craisins.
