TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Four area athletes are included in the latest ESPN300 recruiting rankings, which were released on Monday.
Clinch County linebacker Trezman Marshall leads the local pack, coming in at 81 on the list. Marshall holds interest from Alabama, Clemson, FSU, UGA and Michigan, among others. ESPN ranks him as a four-star recruit, and lists him as the second best inside linebacker, as well as the 10th best player in the Peach State.
Florida High safety Raymond Woodie III is listed as the 119th best player in the upcoming recruiting class, and is rated the fifth best safety in the class of 2019 by the website. ESPN says Woodie is a four-star recruit, and has received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, FIU, FAMU, Louisville and Notre Dame, among others.
Madison County's Travis Jay, an FSU commit, is ranked 161 by ESPN. Another player ESPN gives a four-star ranking to, ESPN says Jay is the 15th best cornerback in the nation as well as the 28th best player in Florida.
Rounding out area athletes on the ESPN300 list is Lowndes running back Travis Tisdale. Considered the 16th best running back in the nation, and the 31st best player in the state, Tisdale has garnered offers from Cincinnati, FAU, LSU, South Florida and USC, among others.
Florida State also landed eight commits on the list; Jaleel McRae (68), Akeem Dent (80), Dantae Lucas (113), Sam Howell (120), Jay, Michael Morris Jr. (260), Renardo Green (278) and Quashon Fuller (286).
