NEW YORK, NY. (WCTV) -- Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield won the 2017 Heisman Trophy, beating out Louisville QB Lamar Jackson and Stanford running back Bryce Love.
The enigmatic Sooners signal-caller threw for 4,340 yards and 41 touchdowns while completing 71 percent of his passes.
Mayfield led the Sooners to a 12-1 record and a spot in the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma will be taking on Georgia in the Rose Bowl.
