Georgia’s Jeb Blazevich Included On Mackey Watch List

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia junior Jeb Blazevich has been included on the 2016 John Mackey Award Watch List, which features candidates for the nation’s most outstanding collegiate tight end.
The award recipient is selected by vote of the John Mackey Award Selection Committee. The 2016 Mackey Award recipient will be announced on December 7 and then presented live on December 8 at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show on ESPNU.

Blazevich, a native of Charlotte, N.C., made 12 starts and played in 13 games during his sophomore campaign in 2015. He caught 15 balls for 144 yards and a touchdown last year after snagging 18 catches for 269 yards and two scores as a freshman in 2014. Blazevich was named to the Freshman All-Southeastern Conference Team following his first season.
The Bulldogs open versus North Carolina in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta during the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game on September 3. ESPN will televise the matchup at 5:30 p.m.
