Perry headlines local connections to McDonald's All-American rosters

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Three athletes with ties to the area have been named McDonald's High School All Americans.

Thomasville's Reggie Perry has been named to the boys team, and is committed to Mississippi State. Perry originally committed to Arkansas, but decommitted from the Razorbacks this past summer.

Perry averaged 7.0 points and 8.4 rebounds this past spring with the Arkansas Hawks AAU team. He's the first athlete from our area to be named a McDonald's All-American.

Two future members of the FSU women's basketball team were also honored by being named McD's All-Americans.

Valencia Myers from Solon, Ohio and Izabela Nicoletti from Raleigh, North Carolina were also named to the girl's squad.

Myers and Nicoletti both have international playing expereince. Myers was on the USA U16 National Team in 2015, and Nicoletti represented her native Brazil on the U16 and U17 squads.
