The shooting near Florida A&M University’s campus is now also part of the campaign discourse just eight days before the election.

Florida A&M University (FAMU), along with local and state officials, are reacting to a shooting on Perry Street Saturday night that injured 12 people.

Leon County Supervisor of Elections Mark Earley said he’s satisfied that this was “an isolated instance of agents attempting to vote before they left Florida.”

Following an investigation by officers and detectives, authorities identified the suspect as Lenorris Footman, 31.
