Furry Friday: New year, new family, new life!

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - These pups are ready to start the new year off on the right paw - with a new family!

WCTV teams up with the Tallahassee Animal Service Center each week for Furry Friday. It’s our chance to spotlight dogs ready and waiting to be adopted in hopes they can find fur-ever homes faster.

Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:

MEET CHET

UPDATE: RESCUED!

Meet Chet!

This hound mix loves to follow his nose and he’d like to follow it right back into the arms of a loving family.

Chet was part of a family, but was living in a tiny apartment.

Now he’s hoping someone will scoop him back up and give him room to roam and space to sniff and a soft spot to land once more.

Chet is active and friendly and ready to accompany you on your next ride and your next walk!

Please visit Chet at the shelter this weekend!

MEET DAISY

UPDATE: ADOPTED!

Meet Daisy!

This petite brindle beauty is too shy, shy, hush, hush ... eye to eye.

No, really, Daisy is just waiting to come out of her adorable shell.

Sweet talks and long walks and her often tucked tail will start to wag.

Daisy is looking for a family to show her what love is, to help her build trust and confidence and bloom into the bouncy, happy-go-lucky pup that’s just waiting inside!

Please visit Daisy at the shelter this weekend!

MEET BUBBY

UPDATE: ADOPTED!

Mett Bubby!

He is friendly and fun and has been voted the best snuggler at the shelter. Ok, I made that part up. I was the only one voting!

But this boy is a lover and a learner. He will shower you with doggie kisses, lean into you and with an invitation, he’ll climb right into your lap!

Bubby loves treats. He is a quick learner and has been known to strike a yoga pose, stretching out before heading out on an adventure with you!

Please visit active, affectionate Bubby at the shelter this weekend!

MEET DIAMOND

UPDATE: ADOPTED!

Meet Diamond!

This sweet girl is ready to shine!

Diamond reminds us of Dora the Explorer.

She turns her walks into adventures. She’s interested in the sights, sounds and smells all around her.

Diamond is very affectionate and has a little bitty pittie smile a mile wide.

She shares plenty of hugs and kisses and is hoping to cuddle up with a calm, cat-less family right away!

Please visit Diamond at the shelter this weekend!
