Two corrections officers attacked with improvised weapons at Florida State Prison in Bradford County

STARKE, Fla. (WCJB) - Officials say two corrections officers were attacked by an inmate Friday at Florida State Prison in Raiford.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC), the inmate attacked the officers with an “improvised contraband weapon.” The officers’ injuries were non-life-threatening.

Officials with the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office confirm deputies responded to the prison to aid state corrections officers.
