GDOT: Part of North Saint Augustine Road in Valdosta closing Thursday for construction
Construction is expected to finish in January 2027
VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - Georgia power crews are closing lanes Thursday along North Saint Augustine Road in Valdosta as they work to relocate power poles.
Drivers can expect single-lane closures on North Saint Augustine Road from I-75 exit 18 to Norman Drive. Officials said several lanes may close in the future, including the northbound I-75 ramp to North Saint Augustine Road.
People driving near the area or going to the mall should expect delays. Georgia Department of Transportation recommends drivers take alternate routes, including Baytree Road, Gornto Road and Hickory Road.
Construction is expected to finish in January 2027.
