Gadsden County’s Jordan Evans wins Play of the Week
HAVANA, Fla. (WCTV) - The Mighty Jaguars of Gadsden County have a bright future under center. 14 year old, freshman quarterback Jordan Evans collected over 4,200 of 5,700 plus votes cast to win the Play of the Week award of the 2026 football season.
“They were pushing so we said we’d just run a hitch and go and [Jamarion Davis] just hit them with it,” said the QB of his touchdown pass last week hosting Madison County. “It was a great play call by coach and he was wide open, I saw it and threw the touchdown.”
“I’m grateful because that’s our family too,” said Evans of the fans that cast their ballot for him. “This team is about everyone who represents us so I’m just thankful for the people that voted for me.”
Gadsden is back in action Friday at Bay High School.
