TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested a suspect in a shooting that took place last Thursday near the intersection of Perry and Gamble Streets.
TPD has arrested 23-year-old Akil Grace on charges of discharging a firearm in public.
Police say a witness identified Grace as the person responsible for the shooting that sent one woman to the hospital.
According to arrest documents, Grace was upset that a group of people were dancing near a memorial for Quinton Langford, a FAMU student who was shot and killed at the same site in October 2016.
Arrest documents also identify Grace as a senior at FAMU.
Grace was booked into the Leon County Jail. He bonded out on Thursday.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department has released new details on a shooting that occurred early Thursday morning.
According to TPD, there was a large party at 1446 Perry Street, which drew a large crowd to the area.
Police say around 2:45 a.m., gunfire broke out in the area and a 20-year-old woman suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators are asking anyone who was at the scene, but did not speak with TPD officers, to please call (850) 891-4200.
TPD says because of the large crowd in the area at the time of the shooting, they're hoping a witness will come forward with information that may lead to an arrest in the case.
Anyone with information may also call Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS if they wish to remain anonymous.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting near the Florida A&M University campus.
A FAMU ALERT text message was sent out around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, saying that an unidentified female was shot at the intersection of Gamble Street and Perry Street.

TPD confirms that the shooting happened around 2:45 a.m. A single victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No further details have been released at this time.
The incident took place near the edge of campus, close to FAMU Village and several university buildings. St. Eugene Chapel and a residential neighborhood are also nearby.
