TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The family of Maurice Brown gathered Tuesday night to release balloons in his honor. Brown was
near Basin and Tennessee St. He was 20 years old.
His family and friends remember him as being a happy and outgoing person. They say the last few days have been unimaginable.
“It’s been painful. A lot of pain, and constant crying. But, I know my cousin is in a better place. He’s happy now, he’s with his mother.” said Typonisha Tillman, Brown's cousin.
The investigation into the shooting is still ongoing. The Tallahassee Police Department is asking anyone with information to call (850) 891-4200, or to remain anonymous, call CrimeStoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
